BRILLIANT ARTIST
Emma was chosen as one of Artichoke's BRILLIANT artists to commission work for Lumiere Durham 2023.
The BRILLIANT artists created and exhibited new light works at Lumiere, the UK’s light art biennial.
I AM ECSTATIC RIGHT NOW continues to tour other light festivals including I LIGHT U in Utrecht.

“My relationship to language combined with my hearing loss is an interesting one to explore.”
Emma's large, interactive light artwork is centered around her hearing loss and how she experiences a typical conversation. It visually describes the list of possibilities her brain goes through to understand what is being said. This work has since been exhibited at the I LIGHT U 2025 light festival in Utrecht.
